Rupert + Rose - Part 3

Two parents sit outside with their children in the summer sunshine for a family photoshoot in Chester

Oh man, this family. In April 2019 I met them for their first Year in The Life session. Rupert was 4 weeks old, and Rose was just 2. We had an hour-ish in their home, having lunch and playing, with a few snaps on Izzie and James’ bed for good measure. They’re one of the loveliest families I’ve ever met! Six months later I popped back round, this time for waking up from naps, weaning, reading books and playing instruments.

Action shot from their first shoot.

Much bigger and brighter on their second shoot!

By the time Rupert and Rose were due for their final shoot of the year, we were in full lockdown. We put the shoot off indefinitely, and I was gutted to have missed Rupert’s first birthday. So this final shoot happened two months late, but I am so glad it happened when it did. Glorious sunshine, a picnic in the park, Rupert toddling around and keeping up with his now 3 year old big sister. You can see more of their earlier shoots here: Shoot One, and Shoot Two.

A Year in the Life is a series of three shoots totalling 4 hours over 12 months.

They’re an amazing way to document children and babies growing up, and I take care to ensure there are plenty of detail shots while also telling a story. If you’d like to know more about them you can head over to my Family Photoshoots page, or catch me at hello@carolinegoosey.com.
