Tasmin + Josh’s Nottingham Micro Wedding

nottingham micro wedding photography

Tasmin and Josh got married at West Bridgford registry office (which is in a lovely local park) on a very, very wet August day. Weddings in 2020 have been…well, largely absent, which means that the ones that went ahead have been absolutely incredible. The rulebook has well and truly been chucked out the window, and I for one am here for it.

They got ready together in a swanky apartment by the park and cracked open a beer - before Tasmin went and did the washing up in her wedding dress! They were only allowed their witnesses inside the registry office with them, so I and their family members waited outside.

The original plan for a garden party marquee wedding had gone out the window, but they found time for some confetti and smoke bomb fun in their garden, before dodging the rain inside for drinking games with the family. What better way to introduce your family to university drinking games than Shithead and Beer Pong?! I love that in the face of all the challenges of 2020, this couple found a way to inject a huge amount of fun, colour and joy into their wedding day. I mean, look at the pom poms Tas made and then hastily moved into their living room once the weather ruled out their garden party!

Next year they’ll be having a blowout party in a pub with all their mates who couldn’t be there with them this year, and if their wedding day was anything to go by then it will be incredible.
