That tendency to pick up the camera for special events goes into overdrive when we have kids, and drives some of us from the not-so family friendly 9-5 into the ridiculous hamster wheel of self-employment. Trust me. It happened in my family too![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]

I’ve been looking through old videos and images of the family recently,

so that I can make a little video of George’s progress before he starts school. I love doing small personal projects like this, and while I was lost down the rabbit hole of family memories I decided to share my favourite family photos with you. I can’t believe how much we’ve changed in just a few years. I can’t believe we have two kids! I can’t believe I decided to get a pixie cut halfway through a pregnancy.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_single_image image=”2269″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_border” border_color=”white” onclick=”img_link_large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

I love looking back through photos. Normal photos of us doing normal things, not posing, just being. These photos have, to me at least, a kind of magic. I get to see my kids grow all over again every time I see them.

These are the photos I know I’ll love to look back on when I’m older. Going back through them has made me want to print so many of them so I can see not just the physical changes, but the emotional connections grow and change with time. The photo of my kids playing with cars tugs at all the heartstrings. We were on holiday and the baby was somewhat mobile having figured out a shuffle-Gollum-crawl. George suddenly had a friend to play with, and it was a huge leap in their relationship.

I love what I do. It’s such a gift to remember these moments. When you have so many photos on various hard drives and clouds you forget. Now and then you stumble upon a beautiful moment and it’s like I’ve left little presents to unwrap and give myself a big hug.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
