On New Year’s Eve I spent a couple of hours taking photographs for Sarah and Ste. They approached me in response to my call out for couples looking for a free wedding photographer. It was a mutually beneficial deal – they get free photography, and I get to pump up my portfolio.

I know Sarah from my kids’ nursery. She looked after George until he was around 2, and I already knew her to be a kind, warm, easy going person. I was sure her wedding would be simple but elegant, and just perfect. I was not disappointed!

On the wedding day I discovered why they chose New Year’s Eve as their wedding date – it was exactly a year since their engagement. How perfect is that! This told me so much about the kind of man Ste is. Quiet, understated, but ultimately romantic. I love the perfect pink touches on his suit and in their flowers. Their two girls were also beautifully dressed. So here are some of my favourite images of the day – a sneak peek wedding gift to Sarah and Ste before I deliver their finished gallery later this week.
