Emily + Callum-276.jpg

From Ceilidh to Pumpkins

Emily and Callum truly embraced the tiny wedding. Let me tell you before we really delve into it - their wedding was perfect. They’d planned an intimate ceremony in the church by Emily’s folks’ house in rural Lincolnshire, followed by a ceilidh in a local venue. It was going to be the beginning of summer, with glorious sunshine and dancing for hours. And then 2020 rolled around around stuck its obnoxious middle finger up to their plans. But these two are intrepid wee beasties and set their sights on Halloween.

During their preshoot at the end of September, they were still hoping for 30 guests. Just a few weeks later and they were forced down to 15. The way Emily and Callum coped with all these hurdles is a masterclass in grace under pressure, as well as the value of having a brilliant sense of humour.

Emily + Callum’s Mini Wedding Video

This video was filmed alongside their photos. I’m really sneaky and flick between video and photo settings on my camera, so couples have no clue when I’m shooting what. This will give you a flavour of their lovely Halloween wedding before we get to their photos.
